Our Antrim-based client is a specialist manufacturer with multiple sites across the UK.
Your New Role
This role will require a highly skilled experienced maintenance engineer with a strong Electrical and mechanical background who is capable of undertaking various planned, reactive and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment identifying faults and solutions alike. This is a fast-paced production environment and the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair.
Whilst on shift, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Perform maintenance and support tasks on high speed automated equipment โข Willing to engage with a changing work environment which will involve shift work โข Maintain and support automated and conveying systems โข Maintain and support production electronic/electrical systems โข Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations โข Worked in a high volume manufacturing environment โข Implement solutions to help improve machine reliability and quality issues.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Working with and having an in-depth knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics and program knowledge is essential โข Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems would be desirable โข Knowledge of PLC controlled systems and their energised components โข Team working and flexibility with an open attitude โข Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management.
Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities โข Have strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem-solving โข Able to demonstrate a proven ability in troubleshooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment โข Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Essential Criteria:
Timed served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer โข A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Get In Return
A new 3 shift pattern has recently been implemented which runs Monday – Friday with an early finish on the Friday. The shift pattern repeats every 6 weeks with 2 weeks of earlies 06:00 – 15:30, days 08:00 – 17:30 and lates 15;30 – 01:00. The starting hourly rate is ยฃ18, this is supplemented with a 15% shift premium if working within the shift rota. Overtime is also paid at 1.5.
